
STREETBALL
StreetBall means street basketball. StreetBall is about fun. It is about joking with your opponent. StreetBall is prestige. StreetBall is skill. StreetBall is showmanship. In StreetBall, winning is not important; what matters is having fun or not having fun. StreetBall is a game without strict rules.
STREETBALL RULES
- Teams consist of 5 players (3 starters and 2 substitutes).
- The game is played with three-player teams on a single basket.
- Teams must be ready in the activity area 30 minutes before the match.
- Teams that do not start with 3 players are considered to have lost by default.
- Teams that do not appear on the court after the second announcement will be declared losers by default.
- If a player is disqualified, teams may continue with two players; a team with only one player left is declared defeated.
- In case of a default loss, the existing score is recorded as a win for the remaining team. If the leading team cannot finish the match, the score is recorded as 11–0.
- Any player receiving two technical and/or unsportsmanlike fouls is disqualified from the tournament.
- Time stops in case of injury.
- If a player is bleeding, they must leave the game and cannot return until the bleeding has stopped.
GAME RULES
- The match starts with a coin toss.
- Teams have a 3-minute warm-up period.
- The first team to reach 16 points wins the match.
- Matches are limited to 15 minutes; if the target score is not reached, the team leading at the end wins.
- Substitutions can only be made after a score or during a stoppage in play.
- After each score, possession changes to the opposing team, and the game restarts behind the 3-point line.
- After 6 team fouls, the opposing team is awarded 1 free throw for each foul.
- If no basket is scored after an attack, the rebounding team must exit beyond the 3-point line if they are the defending team. If the attacking team gets the rebound, they may continue without exiting. This also applies after free throws.
- 3-point shots count as 2 points, 2-point shots count as 1 point, and each free throw counts as 1 point.
- Each team is allowed one 1-minute timeout per match; the clock stops during timeouts.
- Unsportsmanlike and technical fouls are treated as one free throw, and possession is given to the shooting team.
- In a basket-and-foul situation, possession remains with the attacking team.
- In jump-ball situations, possession goes to the defending team.
- In tied games, each team takes 3 free throws. Each player may take one shot. The team with the advantage after 3 shots wins. If the tie continues, players 4 and 5 take shots. The first advantage determines the winner.
- The attacking team must attempt a shot within 24 seconds; otherwise, possession is given to the opponent. Final judgment is made by the referee.
